New Papal Visit Section

Not many of us got to make the trip to New York to see Pope Benedict during his recent visit to the United States.
You can relive this historic event in our Papal Visit 2008 section. Read the pope’s homilies and other messages and read the accounts of some that got to go on the trip.

CCD Thanks You
Thanks to your generousity, we are now able to use our new classroms.
We have lot of new equipment and supplies so our CCD students will be able to learn and enjoy their faith.
The fifth and sixth grades are now in their new classrooms!
Your generosity made it possible for us to purchase 3 dry erase boards, 2 cork boards and 3 crucifixes. The boards and crucifixes are now on the walls and the rooms are in use.
We were also able to purchase 2 new tvs, 4 DVD/VCR combos, and 2 wall mount kits with money from a grant we recieved from the Archdiocese of Louisville, Catholic Education Fund.
So we are making progress and the kids are really excited about this new space. The TV’s are not up yet, this will come as time and help allows. The extra DVD/VCR combos purchased will be used to replace some of the outdated equipment currently in use. We are still in need of some things and these will come with time.
So thank you for all your prayers and support.

CCD Needs Your Help
We have 3 new classrooms - but the walls are bare! To properly equip them we need your help. Boxes for donations are in the gathering space. Please be generous.
Mike Edelen and many volunteers have done a wonderful job of preparing 3 new calssrooms for our use. I hope to move 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades by the end of this month and 6th grade will follow when the Youth Space is ready.
This will get all the children back on this side of Main Street, and they will no longer have to cross the street on Sundays.
BUT...
Before we can utilize these rooms they need to be set up for use!
They need whiteboards, TV’s, DVD/VCR combos, Buletin boards and large wall crucifixes for every classroom.
The youth space still needs lighting and some form of heat & air to make it habitable.
There is no money in my budget to do this and I don’t want to ask the children to do fundraising.
So I am placing a large box wrapped in white paper in the gathering space and asking for your help to get the rooms ready for our kids in a way that will inspire them.
The box will be there for the next few weeks and any contributions will be apprieciated and put to good use.
Thank you for your continued support!
